🧭 Context & Challenge

Permanence is a boutique hotel located in the heart of Patagonia. After a period of closure, the hotel needed a complete relaunch to re-enter a competitive travel market. The challenge was to:

  • Reopen the hotel and position it as a desirable destination in remote Patagonia.

  • Attract guests despite the location’s logistical challenges.

  • Build sustainable partnerships with travel agencies and brands.

  • Deliver a high-quality, personalized experience for every guest.

🚀 My Role & Contributions

As Co-Founder, I led the full reopening and project management of Permanence alongside two partners. My key responsibilities included:

  • Project Leadership: Directed the reopening process through the successful launch of the first season.

  • Product & Experience Design: Defined the hotel’s offerings and curated guest experiences tailored to Patagonia travelers.

  • Brand Creation: Collaborated with Hugo Ferradás and Julen Sáenz to design and shape the hotel’s brand identity.

  • Partnership Development: Secured strategic travel agency partnerships to establish a reliable booking pipeline.

  • Brand Collaborations: Identified, contacted, and negotiated collaborations with relevant brands.

  • Client Relations: Managed all direct client communications, from inquiries to personalized guest services.

  • Operations Management: Coordinated logistics to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and guest satisfaction.

📊 Results & Impact

  • Reopening Success: Permanence successfully reopened and welcomed 70+ guests during the first season.

  • Partnership Network: Built strong travel agency relationships, securing a steady stream of bookings.

  • Guest Experience Excellence: Delivered personalized stays that resulted in positive feedback and repeat visits.

  • Brand Identity: Established a distinctive brand in collaboration with top creative professionals, reinforcing Permanence as a unique destination.

  • Market Positioning: Positioned Permanence as an attractive hospitality option within Patagonia.

🎯 Why It Matters

This project demonstrates my ability to lead complex, entrepreneurial initiatives from concept to execution. As a co-founder, I balanced business development, strategic partnerships, brand creation, and hands-on client service to relaunch a boutique hotel in one of the world’s most challenging hospitality environments. This experience highlights my strengths in project management, partnership building, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
